Dental Services & Treatments in Ohio Area

North Columbus Dental Group, Hoover Reservoir Dental, and Sunbury Point Dental provide a variety of services and treatments to meet your needs. We work with children whose teeth are still developing and changing, and adults with healthy teeth or dental concerns.

Hygiene

The foundation of dental health is routine cleaning and maintenance. We provide customized cleanings based on your health, which include the use of medicated gels, prescription mouth rinse, and scalers as needed. We also provide sealants for children as preventative care. These are thin plastic coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of the molars to prevent tooth decay. We may also use additional fluoride products as needed. All cleanings include a full inspection of your mouth, tooth brushing, flossing, and scraping away tarter and plaque with our metal tool.

Periodontics

North Columbus Dental Group, Hoover Reservoir Dental, and Sunbury Point Dental also treat periodontal disease, which is caused by plaque and can irritate the gums. Left untreated, it can destroy your teeth. If corrected early, you will maintain healthy teeth for many years.

Whitening

Everyone loves a white smile and today, there are many products available to lighten the color of your teeth. Whitening procedures can be done in our office with one visit.

X-rays

Our dentists use state of the art x-rays to diagnose any dental concern. They produce less radiation than the old x-ray machines with clearer results.

Fillings

Our dentist offices in Columbus, Westerville and Sunbury also provide fillings, which are placed in the teeth where tooth material had to be removed due to decay or a fracture. We use tooth colored composite resins, cement-able resins, and porcelain.

Bridge

If you have one or more teeth missing with healthy teeth around the area, we will recommend a bridge. Bridges are made with high strength, metal-free porcelain.

Crowns

North Columbus Dental Group, Hoover Reservoir Dental, and Sunbury Point Dental use crowns when a tooth cannot be restored with a filling. Crowns often follow a root canal and are also placed on dental implants to replace missing teeth. They are typically high strength, metal-free porcelain.

Veneers

A veneer is a thin shell placed over a tooth to replace the visible parts of a tooth. Ceramic or resin-based composite veneers can be used to restore damaged, discolored, or broken teeth.

Root Canal

We also offer root canal therapy, which is needed when the pulp of your tooth becomes inflamed or infected. Deep decay or cracks and chips can cause pulp inflammation. A small opening is created and instruments are used to clean and shape the root canal spaces. The tooth is then filled with specialized cement, then restored with a post and core and a high strength, metal-free porcelain crown.
